Taking your first steps into running can be intimating, but one of the best ways to ease yourself into the running habit is to start with the popular C25k programme.
Summer is a wonderful time of year for running. The days are long and so you are not as restricted to where you can go in the early mornings or evenings and the temperature is warmer.
Running alone can provide numerous benefits, including being a solitary time to think and reflect, giving you a healthy way to blow off steam and a peaceful was to enjoy your own company.
If your goal was to complete a Couch to 5k and you have just completed it, well done! You should have a great sense of achievement as well as feeling fitter and healthier.
So what next?
It can be nerve-racking joining a new group or club, particularly if you are on your own, it’s a new sport or you are returning to the sport after a long break. But we can confidently say that you will enjoy yourself!
